Service Description

Introducing Mat Pilates to Bumblebee Yoga! This class is a part of a series that goes over the fundamentals of Pilates exercises and technique. The 50-minute classes are beginner-friendly, but there's lots of opportunity for challenge too! The focus is on strengthening and conditioning the body in a really balanced way. Each exercise targets a different muscle group, usually by stabilising one body part and controlling your muscles to mobilise another part. We try to move in different planes of motion, like forwards and backwards, side to side, and twisting, and usually there's a mix of poses on your back, tummy, sides, knees, and standing. All of the exercises have layers, so you can add or reduce load to adjust to your needs. All of our classes are accessible, inclusive, body-positive, and no-pressure. Come as you are, take what you need, and explore your practice in a way that feels right for you. This class is for anyone and everyone aged 13 to 100+, we welcome all flavours of human here! We also welcome people with disabilities and diverse body types, and we can even use some NDIS plans to cover the class cost (get in touch with us to chat about this option!). If you have specific needs around accessibility, please let us know before the classes start so that we can best plan for your experience. Due to COVID restrictions, please bring your own mat if possible. We will have some spares that are sanitised after each use.
